about us

After years working for award-winning architects and design practices – including, most recently, two years at the 2007 Interior Designer of the Year Jestico + Whiles, Stephen Dick set up RESIDENCE to focus on the types of projects he loves best: the creation of highly individual, stunning, contemporary spaces without compromise on luxury or comfort.

Highly trained, his design expertise includes high-end residential and commercial projects and international
five-star hotels. He is an idFX/BIDA awards finalist
and winner of the Veedon Fleece design competition.
His work has been showcased in the industry-leading
idFX Magazine; his illustrations were recently featured in a definitive text on Interior Design Drawing; and he has been included in the Andrew Martin Interior Design Review
– a collection of the industry’s leading lights.

A high-flyer at the renowned Inchbald School of Design,
he graduated with top marks and distinctions in both the Diploma & Post-graduate Diploma in Architectural Interior Design. He was awarded the annual Principal's Prize
for his outstanding talent and creativity. After years of experience in the industry he is also in demand as a
tutor back at the school, and squeezes this into his
busy schedule when he can.

Before answering his true calling in interior design, Stephen worked for ten years in the Fine Art market in Lloyd's of London – his professionalism and discerning eye serving him well in his design career.

Any luxury of spare time sees him enjoying fine food and wine with friends, listening to his vast music collection and strumming his beloved Telecaster – much to the distress
of his wife.
